NCI-H460 CVCL_0459 Lung large cell carcinoma Homo sapiens
In-vivo Model Female A/J mice (5-6 weeks of age) received 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK) (intraperitoneally, at a dose of 50 mg/Kg, twice a week, for a total of four doses) in 0.1 mL physiological saline solution.
                    Experimental
                    Result(s)
Exposure of the cells to a mixture of low concentrations of I3C (50 uM) plus silibinin (50 uM) for 72 h caused inhibition of cell growth and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and Akt activation and induction of apoptosis, whereas the individual agents did not have any effect.
